Site work and paving for a road / highway in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: 22,000 LF crack and joint cleaning and filling, hot pour, 3,200 LF crack cleaning and filling, emulsion, 35 TON asphalt for crack filling, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract. 10% bid bond. Engineer’s Estimate: $99,200.00. Project work is specified to be completed no later than October 31, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of $300.00 per working day will be assessed for work not completed within this time.
