Nassau Community College ("College" or "NCC") is requesting bids from qualified Contractors for the 108 Cluster D and Cluster D to C Renovation Project. This project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement and the College will award one contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. There is an academic component comprised of a 3-story building (approximately 46,192 S.F.) housing science classrooms and lab spaces, with a mechanical penthouse. The adjacent administration wing is of similar construction and is comprised of 2 floors (approximately 13,917 S.F.), accommodating office and ancillary spaces. 'Cluster D to C" comprises the renovation of three classrooms/labs within Cluster C to accommodate the relocation of the Cluster D academic Strength of Materials Classroom and adjacent loading dock equipment and contents. The Cluster C building is a recent gut renovation comprised of a 1970 precast concrete framed building, clad with precast concrete and metal/glass panels. 1. The Work for the Cluster D Academic building will entail a complete gut renovation, and the addition of an entry vestibule and remedial work to the building entrances, inclusion of concrete paths and renovation of the entrance plaza. There will also be an expansion of the mechanical penthouse, which will be taken from adjacent roof area. Work shall include all site, hardscape, landscape, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, AV, IT, fire protection, furniture, finishes and equipment (FFE). Refer to the Contract documents for a complete description of the scope of work. 2. The Work for the Cluster D Administration wing will entail a partial renovation, including facade, infill wall and window panel replacement, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, AV, IT, fire protection, furniture, finishes and equipment (FFE). Refer to the Contract documents for a complete description of the scope of work. 3. The Work for the Cluster D to C renovation will entail a three-classroom partial renovation. Work shall include all site, hardscape, landscape, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, AV, IT, fire protection, furniture, finishes and equipment (FFE). Refer to the Contract documents for a complete description of the scope of work. 4. The work shall include exterior work to the extent delineated in the contract documents. Bids must be signed in ink and received at the above address on or before the bid opening date and time. Bid envelope must reference the Name and Address of Bidder, Bid Number, Title, and Bid Opening Date and Time. Bids received after the bid submission due date and time shall be rejected without exception. The College reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
