The Gulf Coast Water Authority (GCWA) is requesting bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for a slide gate automation project at the Industrial Reservoir in Dickinson, Texas. The project includes purchase and installation of the following items and all associated items to provide a complete operational system. The project includes but is not limited to, the installation of electric actuators on the existing gates at the bleeder structures, a solar array system with batteries and all associated control panels, appurtenances, hardware and miscellaneous items to provide power to the actuators, instrumentation and gate controls to allow for remote monitoring of the canal water surface elevations and gate operation capabilities from the Thomas Mackey Water Treatment Plant, all associated site work, concrete slabs, pavement, conduit, duct bank, wiring, and site restoration required to complete the work in its entirety. New electric actuators on existing gates Electrical gear, panels, equipment, wiring, conduit, and duct bank Instrumentation and controls system Solar array system. The alternate bid item includes but is not limited to, the construction of (6) Solar Panels mounted on stand-alone unistrut support racks, all wiring, conduit and ductbank for a complete and operational system with angular orientation per vendor recommendations. The selected contractor will be responsible for executing all aspects of the scope in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Event Bid Open Description : Public may also attend the bid opening in person at 4243 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Texas City, Texas 77591. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Question Deadline 09/04/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Authority in writing. Replies shall be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by the Authority as having received the Bidding Documents.
