Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fayetteville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Fayette County, Georgia invites quotes for Kiwanis Park Concrete Sidewalks and Picnic Table Pads. The contractor will be responsible for getting Utility locates called in before any work takes place. The contractor shall be responsible for any damage done by crew, which includes but not limited to damages to sod, irrigation systems, water lines, electrical wiring, signs, structures, or any other County equipment or property improvements. Any repair to electrical wiring shall be completed by a licensed electrician. It is highly suggested the contractor take photos of all pre-existing conditions around or within the vicinity oftheir work and staging areas. All photos should be submitted to the County prior to mobilizing personnel or equipment to the project site. All damages shall be supported by photographs and reported to Fayette County Maintenance Department, immediately. Any damage repair shall be approved by Fayette County. The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor and equipment and materials needed to complete this work. The Contractor shall be responsible for the conduct oftheir personnel on County property. All Fayette County properties are Smoke Free, Tobacco Free, and Vapc Free. All work shall be done in coordination with the County's Representative. A preconstruction meeting shall be required prior to work being held. Fayette County's working hours arc between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Any modification to those hours must be in writing by the successful contractor and accepted by Fayette County. Fayette County personnel will perform periodic inspections ofwork done by the contractor. * Before concrete is poured, the County Representative for this job will need to inspect and sign off on the formed-up area to be poured. Once the job is started, the work must be worked on continuously and completed within 6 working days, except for weather delays. This is due to safety; these sidewalks and pads arc in a heavily trafficked area at our park and where our playground is located, and the kids will be wanting to play The contractor shall be responsible for keeping the jobsite clean and orderly. The work area will need to be cautioned offwith but not limited to signage, cones, barricades, and caution tape to show closed as a construction area during the duration ofthe project. 9. The existing sidewalks and picnic table pads will need to be removed and disposed of offsite by the contractor, as well as any organic matter and other debris in the work zone. 10. The County will mark offwith white paint and/or flags where the new sidewalk will be poured prior to the mandatory Prebid. 11. The new sidewalks and pads will be poured meeting AU current ADA requirements. Sidewalks and pads shall be: Compacted subgrade 98% proctor modified, 4" compacted G.A.B., and 4" minimum concrete slab. Ensure proper soil compaction to prevent settling and cracking. 12. The Contractor shall form up 8 pads 15' x 13' x 4" and approximately 522' long x 5' wide x 4" thick sidewalks adding the appropriate amount ofsub-base. Every intersecting sidewalk shall be winged on each side leaving no 90-dcgrcc angles. 13. All concrete shall be flush with the ground and/or backfilled to be flush, seeded and/or strawed (contractors mix for seed is fine for the season we arc in during construction and wheat straw over seeded areas and pine straw over mulched areas). 14. Place and Pour 3000 PSI concrete with fiber with a broom finish. 28 days ofdrying time once poured. 15. The contractor shall place crack joints every 10', and expansion joints where concrete meets other hard surfaces, as well as winged extensions. 16. The contractor shall cleanup and haul away any debris used or caused during work on this job. The grounds around the work site shall be repaired and left as it was found when the job was started; including but not limited to mulch, seed, and straw.
