PART 1: Project Planning and Preliminary Design Consultant shall provide planning and preliminary design for granular roadway renewal and associated land drainage. The following is a general non-exhaustive list of the tasks and deliverables the Consultant is required to perform: a) Consultant shall meet with the Town of Gillam to gather background information and data, identify pertinent issues, and familiarize the project team with the Town of Gillam; b) Review proposed work locations with owner representatives. Discuss limits and make alterations as required. c) Review proposed preliminary construction schedule and staging with owner representatives and make alterations as required. d) Conduct topographic survey and condition assessment of existing drainage infrastructure. e) Coordination and discussion with MTS, Manitoba Hydro, and other affected utilities regarding conflict and course of action with physical plant assets; f) Preparation of Preliminary Design Report, including preliminary plan/profile drawings, estimated quantities, construction cost and schedule, and methodology for addressing issues such as: i. Construction Staging ii. Aggregate Supply Confirmation (Existing stockpile Survey and Sampling/testing) Ditching and culvert replacements.
