The Marblehead Housing Authority is seeking a design consultant to assist the MHA in planning for the redevelopment of Broughton Road Apartments, a 62-unit family state-aided public housing complex. The proposed redevelopment will create approximately 122 units of affordable, mixed-income housing, including 62 replacement public housing units, to be developed and owned jointly by WinnDevelopment Company and a subsidiary of MHA. Anticipated funding sources include Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Public Housing Innovations grants, tax-exempt bond financing, EOHLC soft loans, and Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers. The consultant will meet regularly with the Development Team and Project Architect, and with the MHA Board of Directors as needed. Services will be required commencing within 30 days of award through the project closing, anticipated to occur by December 31, 2027. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
