Renovation of a municipal facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of August 4 ,2025 project was awarded to Mid-West Printing Company but awarded amount is not available. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to procure durable and weight-appropriate shelving to safely store a selection of our oldest and heaviest books in our onsite book vault. The shelving must maximize storage capacity within the constraints of room weight limits and accommodate the overhead sprinkler system while preserving the structural integrity of said books. Questions Deadline: 6/20/2025 5:00:00 PM All questions regarding this Request for Proposals must be directed via email to the Tulsa County Procurement Department at bidquestions@tulsacounty.org no later than 5:00 PM CST June 20, 2025. Please be sure to include the solicitation name in the subject line or email body. The Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities or minor irregularities in any proposal. All proposals will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin or handicap status. The successful proposer will supply and install shelving that meets the following requirements: 1. Dimensions & Weight Capacity: The shelving must be able to support approximately 1,000 to 4,000 books, each measuring 17 inches in height and weighing approximately 20 lbs. Shelving design should allow for optimal storage density while ensuring compliance with the room's weight limit. Provide calculations and layout with proposal to verify the floor load is not violated 2. Design Considerations: The shelving must not interfere with the overhead sprinkler system and shall be no taller than 6'. Shelves should be adjustable to allow for flexibility in book placement while maintaining appropriate spacing for book height, thickness, and weight. Shelving material must be metal and designed to handle significant weight loads without compromising structural integrity. 3. Safety & Compliance: The shelving system must adhere to all local building codes, fire safety regulations, and any other relevant guidelines. Minimum of 4' aisles between rows of shelves recommended. Proposers should account for and provide documentation on weight distribution calculations and compatibility with the room's load-bearing capacity. 4. Installation: The supplier must provide a detailed plan for the installation process, including a timeline, team qualifications, and any necessary equipment. The installation must minimize disruption to ongoing operations in adjacent spaces.
