Renovation of an educational facility in Salisbury, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project includes the replacement of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods and associated ductwork, electrical and plumbing devices in Salisbury University's Commons Dining Hall and Guerrieri Student Union buildings. New rooftop mechanical equipment, including units to support new kitchen exhaust hoods and new chiller. New structural steel rooftop dunnage to support new rooftop HVAC units. Architectural renovation includes replacement-in-kind of existing ceilings, flooring patching, and roof patching. Commons Dinning Hall is 43,000 SF +/- which includes work in the basement, first floor, second floor, attic and roof, Guerrieri Student Union is 80,000 SF +/- which consists of a new air-cooled chiller and central chilled water system components to serve the entire building. No change to building use, construction classification, or height. No change to building area, occupancy load, egress or plumbing fixtures. Occupied phased construction will begin in December 2025 and be completed by August 14, 2026. All contractors are subject to Prevailing Wage rates. This project is NOT tax exempt. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of bid is required with the bid submission. Bid substitutions will not be allowed unless pre-approved (see substitution request form). Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this notice. There are no stated subgoals. All MBE subcontractors and suppliers must be certified by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) in order for contract dollars to be counted toward project goals. In awarding the proposal, the University System reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever proposal they determine to be in the best interest of the University considering lowest or best proposal, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of subcontractors being considered, previous experience of subcontractors with similar contracts, or any other factors they deem appropriate. All successful contractors will be required to execute a WT Subcontract (no changes) and submit a certificate of insurance meeting Whiting-Turner's insurance requirements.
