The Rickenbacker 930a Renovations; Adjutant General's Department project includes a renovation converting an existing barracks into a soldier processing medical assessment facility including interior demolition, construction of new interior partitions, and related structural, mechanical, plumbing and fire alarm work. B. Scope of demolition and removal work is shown on drawings and specified in Section 02 41 00. C. Scope of alterations and new construction work is shown on drawings. D. Services (Including but not limited to): Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. As per Adda 1, July 17, 2025 @ 2:00 PM EST is the deadline for all RFIs. RFIs will be received via email to Jackie Davis, SHYFT Collective - j.davis@shyftcollective.com. Any RFIs received after this date will not be acknowledged E. Owner will remove the following items before start of work: 1. Furnishings. 2. Artwork. 3. Portable and small wall-mounted equipment. F. Contractor is required to remove and deliver the following to Owner prior to start of work: 1. Items as identified in the Demolition plans. G. Contractor is required to remove and store the following prior to start of work, for later reinstallation by Contractor: 1. Items as identified in the Demolition plans as salvaged. 2. Additional items as identified during pre-demolition walk-through. The adjustment and repair of the system includes all computer equipment, software updates, transmission equipment and all sensors and control devices. Provide the manufacturer's required adjustments and all other work necessary. A. Furnish and install all components, peripherals, cabling terminations, programming and testing of the UL Listed, microprocessor based, analog/addressable voice-annunciated fire alarm system according to the following specifications and as shown on the drawings. B. Furnish and install a completely new system. The new system shall be a voice alarm system. See Fire Alarm drawings for additional information. C. The system shall utilize distributed processing techniques, be totally solid state, microprocessor based, and use digital transmission techniques, to ensure reliable operation, low maintenance costs and long life. The system shall be of the modular design to allow expansion with a minimum of hardware additions to support future renovations throughout all unrenovated space. System operation shall not require personnel with special computer operational skills. D. The system shall include all necessary hardware, software and peripheral devices to perform the following functions: 1. Fire/smoke detection and alarm 2. One way voice evacuation signaling 3. System supervision 4. Trouble indications 5. Control functions, such as: a. Egress door release b. Magnetic hold open release c. Smoke damper operation d. Air handler shut-down e. Activate emergency lighting control 6. Status monitoring of non-system equipment, such as: a. Sprinkler/standpipe system b. Suppression system control panels 7. Wirelessly report alarm and trouble signals to Base Central Station.
