Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.

The Cégep de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Cégep de St-Jean) plans to dismantle its current teaching greenhouses and replace them with new twin facilities. These modern greenhouses, designed according to the technological standards of commercial greenhouses of comparable size in Quebec, will better meet the training needs of students. These greenhouses will be used year-round and heated with a dual-energy system combining natural gas equipment and heat pumps in order to meet the institution's sustainable development objectives. TIMELINE: Project design is complete. The owner has cancelled the issued tender for the general contractor issued with reference information APL2526-001/20094455. The owner is redefining the project scope and expects to issue a new tender in 2026. Further update at that time.
