Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Macon, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of constructing an access road from U.S. Hwy 45 to Hwy 145 providing access to Huber Engineered Woods. The principle items of work include grading, drainage, base, non-reinforced concrete pavement, hot mix asphalt surfacing, erosion control and striping for 0.259 miles of road and associated acceleration /deceleration turn lanes. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform the work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Contract time shall be 100 working days from the effective date shown on the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount specified for each consecutive calendar day beyond the specified contract time. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. Certified check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total bid, made payable to Noxubee County, Mississippi, must accompany each proposal as required by State Law. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities.
