A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or acceptable Bid Bond payable to Ouachita Parish Police Jury in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Each bid shall also be accompanied by a Corporate Resolution or written evidence of the authority of the person signing the bid for the public work as prescribed by LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). Electronic bids will be received via online prior to bid closing time. The successful bidder must submit executed copies of the Non-Collusion Declaration, Attestation Clause, and E-Verify Affidavit within ten (10) days of the bid opening. These items may be submitted with the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract in accordance with Article 5 of the General Conditions. In addition, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Contract in accordance with Article 5 of the General Conditions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, as provided for in LA R.S. 38:2214(B). A deposit of Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($50.00) plus shipping and mailing costs will be required for each set of documents. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212(D), deposits on the first set of documents furnished to bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents; deposits on any additional sets will be refunded less the actual costs of reproduction. Refunds will be made upon return of the documents in good condition within ten days after receipt of bids. Estimated Probable Construction Cost: $96,286.00 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1) The work included in this contract shall consist of furnishing and placing plastic pavement striping, plastic pavement legends and symbols, painted pavement legends and symbols, and the covering of existing markings when required or directed by the Engineer. 2) All work to be performed will be on paved public roadways located within Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, as specifically identified on the attached striping table. The contract will include the installation of crosswalk striping and "SCHOOL" legends & symbols, as specified in the striping schedules. Any part or item of the Work, which is reasonably implied or normally required to make each installation satisfactorily and completely operable, shall be performed by the Contractor and the expense thereof shall be included in the applicable unit prices or lump sum prices bid for the various items of Work. It is the intent of the Contract Documents to provide the Owner with complete operable systems, subsystems, and other items of Work. All miscellaneous appurtenances and other items or Work that are incidental to meeting the intent of these Contract Documents shall be considered as having been included in the applicable unit prices or lump sum prices bid for the various items of Work even though these appurtenances and items may not be specifically called for in the Specifications or shown on the Drawings Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
