The work generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilize and demobilize including transporting equipment to and from Site 4 South Cell, bonding, constructing and reclaiming any haul roads required during constructions, obtaining permits, erecting temporary facilities and utilities, provision of full time security for the duration of the Works, prime contractor responsibilities including a safety program, environmental procedures and required wildlife surveys, erosion controls, protection of off-site and public property and existing infrastructure, clean up, and all other temporary works necessary to complete the project; Reshaping, cut/fill, and grading Site 4 South Cell to required grades and lines; Clearing and topsoil stripping of on site borrow areas; Excavation of clay and fill materials from on-site borrow area(s); Haul, place, grade, and compact select fill from the concrete stockpile located west of Site 4 South Cell; Place, grade and compact fill to required final contours for top of waste/fill; Haul, place, grade, and compact select materials from the borrow areas to construct the 500 mm thick (minimum) engineered clay barrier cap over the Site 4 South Cell; Construct surface water ditches to drain run-off to required grades and lines; Supply and install two 600 mm culverts, including supply and placement of 12oz non-woven geotextile and rip rap to thicknesses as shown on the Drawings at locations indicated on the Drawings; Hauling and placement of 150 mm of topsoil above the Engineered Clay Barrier and within specific ditches as shown on the Drawings, with stockpiled topsoil; Seeding of capping area and within specific ditches as indicated on the Drawings (and all other disturbed areas); Provisional: Reclamation of the borrow area(s) used for the Works, including placement of stripped overburden, placement of surplus topsoil, grading, and seeding; and Surveying, as required prior to construction and following completion of all portions of the Work, which must include a detailed as-built geodetic survey of the entire Work area and all the Work performed including the base of Engineered Clay Barrier, top of Engineered Clay Barrier, and top of topsoiled area for thickness verifications. To be provided to and approved by Engineer as construction progresses. We the Undersigned Do Hereby Agree to Become Bound as Surety and Will Issue a Performance Bond and a Labour & Material Payment Bond Each Equal to 50% of the Tender Price Guaranteeing Faithful Performance of Said Contract, Provided Said Bond (or Bonds) Be Called for Within Thirty (30) Days After the Signing of the Written Contract.
