Renovation of a municipal facility in Hackensack, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Homeless Shelter Roof Replacement The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Replacement of the existing roofing for the Bergen County Homeless Shelter located at 120 South River St, Hackensack, NJ 07601. The roof replacement will consist of a full removal and replacement with a TPO Roofing System. The TPO Roofing System shall extend to the top of all parapets and rooftop unit bases, and shall include new flashing. Tapered rigid insulation shall be installed above the roof deck sloped to the drains, and all drainage caps shall be replaced. The Contractor shall install new aluminum coping at all parapets, and replace all gutters and downspouts. The Contractor shall also replace sections of roof decking found to be damaged as directed by the Engineer on a contingency basis. The Contractor will be required to maintain the water tight integrity of the roof through the construction period. Bidder shall submit with the bid a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Bergen County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Electronic bid bond is acceptable, if Bidder is submitting a guarantee in the form of a cashier's check or certified check, an image of the check must be included with the bid or proposal submitted through the e-procurement platform Bid Addenda will be issued online and noticed in accordance with N.J.S.A 40A:11-23. All Interested respondents should check online from now through bid opening to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 et seq. Bidders shall comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.37 and 34:11-56.38 of the "Prevailing Wage Act. A copy of the plans, specification, and contract documents will be on file for public inspection at Boswell Inc., 330 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack, New Jersey 07606, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time, Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, Friday, excluding legal holidays. A digital copy, provided on a USB flash drive, may be obtained for a non-refundable fee of $10.00 per USB flash drive. Printed copies of the plans, specification, and contract documents may be obtained upon request, in accordance with Boswells applicable printing fees at the time of request. The project has a goal of ten to twenty percent (10-20%) MBE/DBE/WBE participation
