US192 US441 from CR532 to Arthur J Gallagher Blvd Questions Due Date: Jul 14th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT A. The Work to be done includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete the project all-inclusive of the following: 1. Includes relocation and/or adjustment to new grade of 5 existing utility markers, 11 existing fire hydrants, and adjust to new grade 27 existing valves due to FDOT's project 448796-1 US 192/US 441 from CR 532 to Arthur J Gallagher Blvd. Project consist of a road, drainage and sidewalk improvements that will extend for approximately 31,700 linear feet and is located along SR 500 (US 192) from the intersection with CR532 to the intersection with Arthur J. Gallagher Blvd. Proposed relocations under this project shall follow the construction activities and time line performed by FDOT as established on the utility work schedule included in the contract documents. Coordination with FDOT for all work is required under the project scope. FDOT project is anticipated to start construction August 2025 B. Contractor's Duties: 1. Cooperate with the OWNER or OWNER'S Representatives. 2. Coordination with FDOT including but not limited to attending coordination meetings as required. 3. Except as specifically noted, provide and pay for: a. Labor, materials, and equipment. b. Tools, construction equipment, and machinery. c. Water and utilities required for construction. d. Other facilities and services necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work. 4. Secure and pay for, as necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work, and as applicable at time of receipt of bids: a. Permits. b. Government fees. c. Licenses. 5. Give required notices. 6. Comply with codes, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders, and other legal requirements of public authorities that bear on performance of Work. 7. Promptly submit written notice to ENGINEER of observed variance of Contract Documents from legal requirements. 8. Enforce strict discipline and good order among employees. Do not employ on Work persons not skilled in their assigned task. 9. CONTRACTOR shall furnish personnel and equipment that will be efficient, appropriate, and large enough to secure a satisfactory quality of workand a rate of progress that will ensure the completion of the work within the time stipulated in the Proposal. If, at any time, such personnel appears to the ENGINEER to be inefficient, inappropriate or insufficient for securing the quality of work aforesaid, he may order CONTRACTOR to increase the efficiency, change the character or increase the personnel and equipment, and CONTRACTOR shall conform to such order. Failureof the ENGINEER to give such order shall in no way relieve CONTRACTOR of his obligations to secure the quality of the work and rate of progress. 10. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for restoring all disturbed private property, resulting from his construction activities, or the activities of his sub-consultants, at no additional cost to the OWNER. 11. CONTRACTOR shall confine his activities to the site(s) designated by the OWNER for the Work or for materialsstorage. 12. Contractor to perform locates on existing utilities prior to water main installation. Contractor to perform look ahead hard digs to identify potential existing underground conflicts. Any field verified data which may alter the design shall be presented to the Engineer of Record and Toho for evaluation and subsequent direction. 13. Coordination shall be required with all property owners that will have any impacts associated with their driveways and property. 14. All permits required by State and Local agencies necessary for this project, including those for dewatering. CONTRACTOR is responsible to provide signed and sealed MOT plans, licenses, insurance and bonds certificates meeting the requirements specified herein. 15. CONTRACTOR is required to obtain and pay all fees as necessary for the procurement of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Stormwater Permit. All other permits, licenses, fees necessary for this work are to be secured and paid for by CONTRACTOR. Any costs as a result permit conditions are the responsibility of CONTRACTOR. Contractor shall prepare a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. 16. Contractor shall provide and maintain dewatering as necessary and conform to all State and County requirements for groundwater discharge. All required ground water testing during construction is to be provided by CONTRACTOR. 17. CONTRACTOR shall maintain access to emergency vehicles at all time. 18. Repair, replace, or otherwise settle with property owners, if damage to property or existing facilities occur, including damage to pavements, curbs, sidewalks, other utilities, fences, sod, structures, etc. 19. Provide fulltime, onsite project management. Maintain a professional demeanor when working with the public. 20. Contractor shall visit the site prior to bidding and make their own determinations for the amount: of clearing, grubbing and disposal; sheeting, shoring and bracing needed for protection of sidewalk, roadways, utilities, landscape removal, replacement and maintenance of any landscaping removed or damaged during construction, including ground cover and sod. CONTRACTOR's progress schedule shall consist of a network analysis system as described herein. In preparing this system the scheduling of the construction is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR. Conventional Critical Path Method (referred to as CPM) techniques must be utilized to satisfy both time and cost applications. The principles and definitions of the terms used herein shall be as set forth in the AGC publication "The Use of CPM in Construction", but the provisions of this Section shall govern. Scope of Work: 1. Furnish, install and maintain project signs. 2. Remove signs on completion of construction. 3. Allow no other signs to be displayed A. Scope of Work: 1. Construct and maintain temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures so as to prevent pollution of water, detrimental effects to public and private property adjacent to the project and damage to the Work. Coordinate temporary control measures with permanent control features when applicable. 2. Use temporary erosion and sedimentation controls that include, but are not limited to, grassing, sodding, mulching, sandbagging, slope drains, sediment basins and checks, berms, synthetic hay bales, floating turbidity barriers, staked turbidity barriers and silt fences. 3. Contractor is responsible for providing effective temporary erosion and sediment control measures during construction or until final controls become effective which will ensure that pollution will be either eliminated or maintained within acceptable limits as established by federal, state and local requirements and by the Owner. 4. Silt fence will be required around the project perimeter.
