Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to modify the Wolfe Road interchange on I-280 in the City of Cupertino to improve traffic operations and provide facilities for multimodal forms of transportation including bicycle, pedestrian and high occupancy vehicle uses at the I-280 and Wolfe Road interchange. The proposed improvements include: replace the existing Wolfe Road structure, implement Complete Streets elements, reconstruct existing on-ramps and off-ramps; modify existing local street intersections and upgrade bicycle and pedestrian facilities along Wolfe Road; and construct retaining walls and sound walls as needed. the deadline for submitting inquiries will be December 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, being five (5) working days before the Bid Opening date. Inquiries regarding this Request for Pre-Qualification shall be directed by e-mail to Kimmy Truong at Kimmy.truong@vta.org Completion- 1396 calendar days, Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Goal: 20% The Project will extend along Wolfe Road from Perimeter Road at the south, to Pruneridge Avenue at the north and will make the following key improvements: remove and replace the Wolfe Road Overcrossing (Bridge No. 37-0216) structure, to include three through lanes and a right-turn lane in each direction; realign and widen the existing diagonal on-ramps to accommodate High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) preferential lanes and additional mixed-flow lanes; realign both off-ramps as well as widening each off-ramp from four lanes to five lanes; remove and replace soundwalls where affected by other widening; and install new traffic signals at each ramp intersection with Wolfe Road. Between Perimeter Road and Pruneridge Avenue, the project will construct northbound and southbound Class IV bicycle facilities and pedestrian sidewalks alongside Wolfe Road. The Class IV facility will include at-grade signalized crossings across the two offramps, the two loop on-ramps, and the two diagonal on-ramps.
