The Escambia County Engineering Department (County) requests engineering construction plans be developed for the Quintette/95A Realignment Project, including some limited construction administrative services. The design portion of the project will be funded with local area sales taxes. (LOST IV). The construction portion of the project will be funded by a combination of LOST IV and Florida Department of Transportation Regional Incentive Program (TRIP) funds. The east and west portions of Quintette Road are currently offset by approximately 115 feet and will need to be realigned to increase safety and allow for more efficient traffic flow. The design will also include a new traffic signal and a westbound right turn lane onto CR 95A. The consultant selected to provide A&E services for the project shall provide for public input, surveying, construction plan preparation, permitting, bidding assistance, and limited project construction oversight. The A/E will be responsible for acquiring any survey, if not provided by the County, and it must meet the current Florida Minimum Technical Standards as set forth by the Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers. The design shall meet all required current standards and specifications including, but not limited to, Escambia County Technical Specification, Safe Routes to School (SRTS), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Public Rights-Of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Florida Green Book and the latest addition of Design Standards. List any Optional Services that may be required for this project such as Geotechnical Services, Subsurface Utility Exploration (SUE), etc. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
