Bridge Rehabilitation on 19th Street Bridge (Bin 005321) Ove R Valley Creek The Bracket Estimate on This Project is From $300,000.00 to $350,000.00. This Bracket Range is Shown Only to Provide General Financial Information to Contractors and Bonding Companies Concerning the Project's Complexity and Size. This Bracket Should Not Be Used in Preparing a Bid, Nor Will This Bracket Have Any Bearing on the Decision to Award the Contract. The Base Bid Scope of Work Includes Concrete Pile Encasement Extensions at Bents 2 and 3 of the 19th Street Bridge (Bin 005321) Over Valley Creek. This Includes Armoring Bents With Rip Rap to Prevent Erosion. Contractor Will Be Required to Provide a Plan to Access Both Bents That Are in the Main Channel of Valley Creek. There Are Miscellaneous Traffic Control and Temporary Erosion Control Items Included in This Project. Add Alternate #1 Includes Miscellaneous Substructure Spall Repairs (Existing Abutment Walls, Existing Pile Encasements, Existing Concrete Webwall, Existing Pile Caps) and Superstructure Spall Repairs (Underside of Deck, Overhang, Sidewalk, Etc.), and Repairs to Damaged Metal Railing. The Project Will Conform to All Required Alabama Department of Transportation Standard Specifications. The Entire Project Shall Be Completed in Forty (40) Working Days. A Cashier's Check (Drawn on an Alabama Bank) or Bid Bond for 5% of the Amount Bid (Maximum of $10,000.00) and Made Payable to the City of Bessemer Must Accompany Each Bid as Evidence of Good Faith. Proof of Insurance Coverage of the Types and Amounts as Set Forth in the Project Specifications Will Be Required of the Contractor, and Any and All Subcontractors, Prior to Beginning Work. The Contractor Will Be Required to Perform Work Amounting to at Least 30% of the Total Contract Cost With His Own Organization. The Right to Reject Any or All Bids and to Disregard Any Minor Irregularities is Reserved by the Owner. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
