Renovation of a municipal facility in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Upgrades, improvements and major renovations of the owner's head office. The major construction program for modernization and revitalization of Jean-Lesage Building, built 60 years ago, includes the entire interior renovation of the twenty-story building, to make it "a modern and inspiring space, conducive to innovation, collaboration, and staff well-being". The project also includes the modernization of all the electromechanical equipment and systems in the sixty-year-old building, which are all at the end of their useful life. TIMELINE: The project is includes into the owner's 2026-2029 capital expenditure program and has just been announced. Final scope of work, budget and timelines of the project development are not disclosed by the owner to avoid influence on future calls for tenders. Further update in early 2026. Note. To indicate the extent of the work the owner states that the previously completed renovation work on the building's exterior envelope was completed at a cost of approximately $20 million.
