The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. The project involves the renovation and reconfiguration of the existing 14,000 square foot Junior High Building and minor renovations to the High School. The interior improvements will include new secured vestibules, new classroom additions, extensions of existing classrooms, restroom upgrades, and the creation of new administrative and testing areas, along with minor aesthetic enhancements throughout the facility. New construction will occur in two areas: Part A includes the development of a new Cafetorium Building, featuring a spacious cafeteria, a performance platform, supporting restrooms, and a new main entrance and reception area for the Junior High Building. Part B consists of a new Gymnasium to support physical education programs, as well as a commons area that will provide a direct connection between the Elementary School. Site modifications will be limited and primarily focused on utility relocations and improving accessibility to both the new and existing buildings. B. Type of Contract 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. A. Include materials, labor, services and incidentals necessary for completion of this Section of Work. B. Include formwork for cast-in-place concrete as required by Concrete Contractor. C. Include formwork for concrete bases for equipment of mechanical and electrical divisions. Contractors for those divisions of Work shall be responsible for size, location and required inserts. D. Notify trades in ample time for each to install own work required in conjunction with formwork. E. Inserts, sleeves and other miscellaneous embedded items required by mechanical, electrical or plumbing trades shall be supplied and installed by those respective trades. F. Provide and install inserts, sleeves and other miscellaneous embedded items other than those required by mechanical, electrical or plumbing trades. G. Supply, install and maintain shoring and re-shoring related to concrete formwork.
