Town of Mountain City will be soliciting bids for the VFD Replacement Project in Mountain City, Tennessee. The project is a public works project, intended to better serve the customers of the Town of Mountain City and Cold Springs Utility District. The project involves replacing existing variable frequency drive (VFD) pump motor controllers at two locations within the Town of Mountain City's service area. The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing new VFDs in accordance with the specifications. The project also involves installing signal wiring between the raw water pump station and the treatment plant programmable logic controller (PLC). Any prospective bidder is required to familiarize him/herself with the existing conditions of each location at which VFD replacement is scheduled. Reference the Instructions to Bidders in the contract documents for more detailed information. This project is being supported with the American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity.
