The Province, on behalf of NLSchools, is inviting tender bids for cutting and patching pavement repairs for the following schools located in the Central Region: a. Botwood Collegiate, 32 Fernwood Dr, Botwood, NL: Approximately 2000 square feet; b. Leo Burke Academy, 166 Main Street, Bishop's Falls, NL: Approximately 2000 square feet; c. Forest Park Primary, 28 Price Ave, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL: Approximately 750 square feet; d. Sprucewood Academy, 26 Price Ave, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL: Approximately 2700 square feet; e. Avoca Collegiate, 13 School Rd, Badger, NL: Approximately 5000 square feet. 2. Please refer to the attached document NLSCHOOLS-25-139 School Photos.pdf for areas to be repaired. 3. Areas being removed are to be saw cut and/or ground out as required. 4. Remove all sectioned-out asphalt and debris from site (no stock piling). 5. Supply, place and compact Class A road gravel as required. 6. Apply a tack coat to edge of existing to remaining asphalt where joining new asphalt. 7. Supply, place, and compact new hot asphalt and tie into existing remaining asphalt. 8. New asphalt compacted thickness to be a minimum of 50mm. 9. All areas that need cut and patch must be painted. 10. All work, traffic control measures, and construction signage must be provided in accordance with the municipality/authority having jurisdiction. Upon request, the successful contractor is to provide a Site-Specific Safety Plan prior to mobilization. Such documentation must be submitted to NLSchools within three (3) business days of request. 11. Vendors are responsible for verifying the location(s) and dimensions of the areas to be repaired on site. If any discrepancies occur between the measurements listed in this document, and the measurements taken by the contractor, the contractor is to contact NLSchools (via Merx) before proceeding with the calculation of their bid. Bidders shall submit with their Tender a Bid Bond of at least 10% of their Total Tender Price (before HST) if the tendered amount is $25,000 or greater (before HST), in the form of one of the following: a. Certified Cheque b. Money Order C. Bank Draft d. Surety issued by an approved Surety Company licensed to do business in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador e.
