The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha, d/b/a/ Metro request from qualified certified companies to perform the diagnosis, analysis, and submission of documents of bus CNG tank/cylinder system inspection. The services will be defined as any service on the fleet not directly dealing with the CNG and monitoring Staffing for this project is expected to be qualified, technician(s) with proper training and qualifications to carry out the CNG system inspection per U.S DOT's FMVSS 304 and NFPA 52 sect. Work will be performed in the main maintenance facility of Metro Transit, located at 2222 Cuming St. Omaha, NE 68102. Space will be available and open for the technician(s). Hand tools, scaffolds and ladders will need to be provided by the technician(s), major tools such as jack stands and hoists will be provided by Metro. Technician(s) will be expected to always conduct themselves in a professional business manner. Metro reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove technician(s) from the premises if the Metro Director of Maintenance deems the technician(s) unfit for duty due to impairment, unprofessional behavior, unprofessional language, or other factors which causes disruption in operations. This project will be limited to the completion of Metro's CNG fleet. Per vehicles fee and number of cylinders inspected is how this contract will be billed. No subcontractors will be allowed on this project. In general, the Metro is requesting proposals from qualified certified companies to perform the diagnosis, analysis, and submission of documents of bus CNG tank/cylinder system inspection per U.S DOT's FMVSS 304 and NFPA 52 sect. This accounts for the inspection of a total of 225 tanks that will need inspected, 23 New Flyers with 6 cylinders, 9 with 8 cylinders and a fleet of 5 CNG cutaway Ford Vans with 3 cylinders per vehicle. The vehicles must be in service at time of inspection to qualify for work, vehicles not in service at time of inspection will not be included in the inspection cycle. 07-28-2025 Contract Award (tentative)
