Renovation of a residential development in Melbourne, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The scope of work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, drawings, and services necessary for the proper completion of the work in accordance with the specifications detailed in the Work WriteUp and General Specifications. All rehabilitation work must be carried out in compliance with the locally adopted 2023 Florida Building Code 8th Edition. In cases where compliance with these codes are impractical and/or cost-prohibitive, contractors will be required to comply with the code to the extent feasible as determined by the Building Department. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information. It is also illegal to retaliate against a person because he or she complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit. A person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017 of the Florida Statutes, for Category Two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list. The City of Melbourne reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the Owners. The scope of work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, drawings, and services necessary for the proper completion of the rehabilitation in accordance with the specifications detailed in the Work Write-Up (In Neighborly), the General Specifications (attached) and the City of Melbourne Minimum Rehabilitation Standards (available from City of Melbourne Housing and Urban Improvement Division). The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. This project is being funded with State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds awarded to the City of Melbourne by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, and state and federal requirements will apply. Pursuant to, and in compliance with your Invitation to Bid, the Instructions to Bidders, and other documents related thereto, the undersigned hereby proposes to furnish all material, labor, equipment, and services necessary for the Rehabilitation of the Single-Family Home Located at 2907 Colbert Circle, Melbourne, FL 32901-7268, as required by and in strict accordance with the Invitation to Bid, the Instructions to Bidders, the Rehabilitation Work Write Up, Drawings, Products and Materials Form enclosed herein, General Specifications and the City of Melbourne Minimum Rehabilitation Standards, and all addenda, if any, issued prior to the date of this Bid at the price set forth below and as further detailed on the attached Work Write-Up. SCOPE of work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, drawings (if any), and services necessary for the proper completion of the rehabilitation of the property identified in the Work Write-Up.
