The project must be completed prior to the new school year and before children return to school. cope of Work: Repair, sand & refinish existing gymnasium floor at Mohegan Elementary School PART 1: PART 1--GENERAL DESCRIPTION 1. Remove and Replace Existing Flooring in areas indicated. 2. There is to be approximately four hundred and ninety (490) square feet of new flooring patched into the existing floor. a. Locations are to be reviewed with Owner. The contractor will be responsible to confirm these areas and report any discrepancies to the Owner prior to the start of work. 3. All new flooring is to be "woven - in" to the existing flooring so that patched areas are not noticeable. 4. Replacement is to include all subfloor system components to match the existing subfloor system components. 5. New flooring is to be M.F.M.A. Ce11ified, Second Grade, 25/32" x 2 1/4" Tongue and Groove Maple Flooring 6. Complete Sand and Refinish of Existing Gymnasium Wood Flooring. a. The area will be clean, and all movable objects removed by the owner before work begins. b. Foot traffic must be eliminated by the owner for the duration of the project. QUALITY ASSURANCE 1. Floor Contractor/Installer Qualifications. 2. Submit a list of at least three completed projects of similar magnitude and complexity. 3. Flooring contractor shall be a firm in business for a minimum of ten (I 0) years. 4. Flooring Contractor shall be an MFMA Certified Installer. 5. Flooring Contractor must be a Bona Kemi Certified Craftsman installer/finisher. SUBMITTALS 1. Manufacturer's Product Data a. Submit three (3) Bona specifications sheets 2. Samples a.
