1. The purpose of this RFQ is to develop a list of pre-qualified Respondents willing to provide various engineering services on an on-call basis. 2. This RFQ will also set forth project-specific agreement award procedures. 3. Selection of Respondents as pre-qualified shall be based on the minimum qualifications established in this RFQ. 4. Respondents may propose and be pre-qualified in one (1), any combination, or all technical categories listed below, provided Respondent meets the specified requirements in this RFQ. The requested services include planning; conceptual, preliminary, and final design; construction support; and other related services for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilities relating to the following four categories: o Category 1 - Water Treatment Facilities o Category 2 - Water Conveyance, Storage, and Distribution Facilities o Category 3 - Large Rotating Equipment Services o Category 4 - Power Distribution Facilities 6. Services provided will include planning, investigations, technical analysis, technical reviews, cost estimation, engineering support during bid advertisement and construction, and other project support tasks. 7. Metropolitan is exploring the potential of utilizing "alternative project delivery methods" in an effort to expedite various programs or projects. Alternative delivery methods may include Design-Build (DB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), or Construction Manager/General Contractor at Risk (CMAR/GCAR). Design consultants, including their affiliates, subsidiaries, and/or affiliated construction contractors, will be precluded from bidding on the construction projects for which they have provided preliminary or final design services.
