Site work for a civil project in Woodland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Project will rehabilitate the existing signal at East Street and Main Street. Work includes placement of underground conduits and conductors, installation of mast arm mounted vehicle detection cameras, replacement of signal heads and backplates. This project shall be conducted in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents, all of which may be obtained as per section A-2 of this Notice Inviting Bids The project consists of the following: Project will rehabilitate the existing signal at East Street and Main Street. Work includes placement of underground conduits and conductors, installation of mast arm mounted vehicle detection cameras, replacement of signal heads and backplates. Questions: Submit in writing to CIP@cityofwoodland.gov. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. For the purposes of this Section, "the amount of the bid" includes all additive alternates but does not include deductive alternates. The cash, cashier's check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) work days after being requested to do so. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to comply within said time. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies which the City may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. The award shall be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose Bid complies with the specified requirements. The lowest bid shall be determined based on base bid alone. However, City may choose to award the contract as the base bid alone or the base bid and any alternate or combination of alternates. The award of Contract will be made by the City Council. The Contractor shall execute the Contract within ten (10) work days after receipt of the Contract from the City. If there is reason to believe that collusion exists among any bidders, none of the bids of the participants in such collusion will be considered and the City may likewise elect to reject all bids received. Prior to the performance of any work hereunder, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish both a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company acceptable to the City and that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is authorized by the State of California, and all documents required by Code of Civil Procedure section 995.660, to the extent required by law. Event Bid Description: Deliver bids to: Woodland City Hall - City Clerk's Office 300 First Street, Woodland CA 95695 If you choose to send your Bid Proposal via an overnight or express services it must be marked on the outside: [Sealed Bid for East and Main Signal Project, CIP # 22-14/ State Funded Project #HSIPS-5046(050) - deliver immediately to the City Clerk's Office]. The City's estimated cost of the improvements for base bid only is 240,000 to $290,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
