Preparation of engineering and construction plans, specifications, cost estimates of designed work, permitting, and bidding assistance for Tier 1B items. See RFP for additional details. The Village is 2.7 square miles with a population of 13,483, located in Cook County. The Village operates and maintains six primary facilities. The Village has been experiencing operational problems relating to the age and space availability of the municipal facilities. Space limitations, failing electrical and mechanical systems, and the unsecure nature of the facilities prompted the Village complete a facility and space needs analysis. In 2023, the Village completed a facilities and space needs analysis that included review and recommendations for improvements of each facility with assistance of a consultant. The completed report is attached to this RFP. The 2023 Facility and Space Needs Analysis Report includes three Tiers: Tier 1 , Tier 2, and Tier 3. The Village is currently in the process to complete the Tier 1 recommendations. Tier 1 was separated into three sections (Tier 1A, Tier 1B, Tier 1C) based upon the severity of the repairs and improvements. The repairs and improvements identified in Tier 1A were completed in 2025 and the Village is now seeking a consultant to complete design work for the Tier 1B recommendations as identified in the 2023 Facilities and Space Needs Analysis. The Tier 1B design is to be completed in 2025, and construction will take place in 2026.
