**As of September 4th, 2025, the project was awarded to the following concrete subcontractors: J.C. Concrete Bros LLC $13,576.00 Park Construction and Building Maintenance $4,334.10 Southven Construction llc (LLC) $6,246.00 Joe Muirhead ConcreteServices $6,356.50 Don Smith Concrete LLC $8,304.50 Lookup Construction Services (Russell Broome) $8,460.00 J&K Excavation LLC $9,957.50 with a total awarded amount of $57,234.60.** Miscellaneous Concrete Work Question Cuttoff Date & Time 7/17/2025 12:00:00 PM (CT) All questions must be submitted thru online Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary (unless specified otherwise) to perform miscellaneous concrete installation/repair (non-roadway); repair potholes and other damages in steel reinforced concrete streets. Small repairs may consist of roadway damage in which the damaged portion is less than 10% of the entire panel. Large repairs may consist of removing and replacing entire panels when the damaged portion is greater than 10% of the entire panel. For purposes of these specifications, a panel is the section of a concrete street between the saw cuts and/or construction joints installed during initial placement of the concrete. A. For small repairs the contractor shall provide: 1. Safety a. Barricade work area and equipment sufficient to safely complete repairs and allow adequate curing time b. Provide and implement a traffic control plan in coordination with the Precinct Commissioner. 2. Material a. Rapid setting structural repair mortar with a 28-day compressive strength of >5,000 psi b. Product to be approved by Ellis County Engineering and/or Precinct Commissioner c. Contractor shall follow manufacturer installation guidelines and recommendations B. For large repairs the contractor shall provide: 1. Safety a. Barricade work area and equipment sufficient to safely complete repairs and allow adequate curing time b. Provide and implement a traffic control plan in coordination with the Precinct Commissioner. 2. Neatly saw cut perimeter a. Cut as necessary for removal purposes (no sections less than half distance between joints). b. Must be rectangular in shape with vertical sides 3. Remove concrete a. Load and haul debris to appropriate disposal area b. Dispose of debris per all applicable regulations c. Coordinate potential re-use of concrete with Precinct Commissioner 4. Remove weak subgrade material as needed a. Confirm need to remove subgrade with Ellis County Engineering and/or Precinct Commissioner b. Excavate, load, and haul spoils to appropriate disposal area c. Dispose of spoils per all applicable regulations d. Coordinate potential re-use of spoils with Precinct Commissioner 5. Prepare new subgrade as needed a. Base material furnished to job site by Precinct
