Remodeling of a museum in Williamsburg, Virginia. Working plans call for the remodel of a museum.
As of August 28, 2025, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet. The project is generally described as finish updates in the current mercantile space for use as an exhibit area, re-install fire safety devices to pendant mounts, modification and addition to existing micro climate layout, install additional lighting and convenience outlets in the existing exhibit space. DGS-30-248 Question Deadline 07/22/2025 Bidders must so act to assure that questions reach the A/E at least six (6) days prior to the time set for the receipt of bids to allow a sufficient time for an addendum to reach all bidders before the submission of their bids A Bid Bond is NOT required. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
