This work is the removal of existing field drainage swale 72" steel pipe beneath Nippenose Road and to furnish and place new 60" HDPE field drainage swale Polyethylene Pipe. Backfill with 2A Subbase and compact according to Specifications, and standard drawings. The pipe trench shall be finished with paving (Place 4" Depth of Superpave asphalt 19.0 mm compacted. The contractor will provide all necessary excavation for removal and replacement of all pipe materials, bituminous material, subbase, as needed to complete this work. The contractor will complete all work, providing necessary labor, equipment and material needed to complete work which is to be verified by the Nippenose Township. Contractor will be responsible for any engineering/surveying required to provide proper elevations and alignments are established for the pipe installation so that proper water flow is maintained. For the following contract: Pipe Replacement Contract: Furnish and place approximately 32 L.F. of 60 HDPE pipe; furnish and place approximately 24 tons of R-6 rock. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract as awarded, as well as proof of workers compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder for each contract. All seal coat work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
