The work is to include furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction and other associated improvements detailed in the contract documents and specifications Question Deadline 07/28/2025 at 2:00 PM CT Questions are to be submitted using the question and answer process on the procurement website. Responses to questions posted on the procurement website will be posted for the benefit of all Offerors. A response will be posted for questions submitted up to 48 hours prior to bid opening. Questions submitted less than 48 hours before the bid opening may not be answered. This project includes the reconstruction of approximately 4.8 miles of an existing 2-lane rural asphalt road from Veal Station Road to SH 199. The reconstruction work will consist of blending cement with the existing asphalt road and base to a depth of 8", then constructing a 6" thick layer of flexible base, then installation of 3" hot mix asphalt concrete. Drainage work includes reshaping roadside ditches, replacement of driveway culverts and crossing culverts as well as constructing headwalls onto existing culverts. certified check or bank draft, payable to Parker County, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and payable to Parker County in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal must accompany each Bid as a guaranty that if the proposal is accepted, the Bidder will execute the contract and furnish the required performance, payment, and maintenance bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after date on which the bids are opened. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, the County reserves the right to adopt the proposal that provided for the most advantageous contract and pricing for the County. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder; however, the County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The low bidder shall be prepared to submit such evidence as the County may reasonably require to establish their experience, possession of such equipment, qualification of personnel, and financial responsibility necessary to complete the work on this project in an expeditious, safe, and satisfactory manner.
