The Scope of Work includes interior inspection and cleaning of the exterior surface of the 500,000-gallon High Ridge Water Storage Tank. The High Ridge Tank is a multi-legged elevated tank with a high water level of 971 feet and a base of 873 feet. Contractor shall remove all mildew, mold, debris, and other deleterious substances from the exterior surface of the steel bowl and removal of all waste products from the site. The interior of the tank shall be drained and washed down. A state approved inspection shall be completed over the entirety of the tank and site. Contractor will be responsible for disinfection. Auxiliary tanks shall be provided for interior and inspection work. Work shall include any other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to submitting a bid. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The PWSD No. 1 of Franklin County anticipates issuing notice to proceed in September 2025. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees. The PWSD No. 1 of Franklin County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
