Woolridge Road Extension involves the construction of approximately 6,540 LF of a 4-lane divided roadway on new alignment from Old Hundred Road to Route 288 including dual two-lane bridges crossing Tomahawk Creek. The project will also include the construction of a roundabout at the intersection Old Hundred Road and Woolridge Road. The existing on/off ramp intersections at the Route 288 interchange with Woolridge Road will include traffic and pedestrian signals and extensions of the left turn lanes. Additionally, sidewalk will be installed on the east side of Woolridge Road from the southbound Route 288 intersection to Charter Park Drive. The project also includes the construction of four new stormwater management basins and retrofits of two existing stormwater management facilities. An existing 8" PVC sanitary sewer line will be extended by approximately 28 LF. The work will include, but not be limited to: clearing, grading, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, bridges, drainage structures, erosion & sediment control, signal installation, lighting installation, signage, pavement markings, maintenance of traffic, installation of sewer main, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Contractors must be on VDOT's current Pre-qualified list at the time/ date set for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract. Project documents (Invitation for Bids, Project Manuals, Drawings, and any other applicable documents) provided electronically are solely for use by the Bidder for the convenience of preparing a bid response for the project. If there is a discrepancy between the electronic files and the hard copies on file with the County, the hard copies govern. Refer to sheets 2A(12) and 2A(13) for additional details. o Plan sheet labels and typical sections correctly depict proposed curb and gutter type that shall be constructed. o Cross-sections depict CG-3 / CG-7 throughout and have not been revised to show CG-2 / CG-6 that shall be constructed. Elevations and offsets shall be field adjusted by Contractor to install CG-2 / CG-6. o Proposed drainage descriptions & storm sewer profiles (top elevations), and ditch typical sections (inverts) are based on CG-3 / CG-7 and shall be field adjusted by the Contractor. o It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to make all necessary field adjustments to ensure all proposed CG-2 curb and CG-6 curb and gutter are installed at the correct offsets and elevations and to ensure all adjacent dimensions of the roadway typical section are maintained.
