Project Overview & Building Details Cornell Cooperative Extension Madison County is seeking bids from qualified asbestos abatement contractors that are licensed by the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) to remove all asbestos as identified in survey by Churchill Environmental Inc., dated 9/29/2022. This includes conducting the asbestos abatement, interior debris clean-up, and site clearing from the above referenced site, as described below. Prospective bidders are invited to submit their Bids for work described below. The CCE Madison North Building is the primary office building for the 501c3 non-profit. It is connected by breezeway to a larger South Building, which has no asbestos-containing materials and is outside the scope of this project. The North Building was built in the 1950s and is a two-story cement-block building Page 3 of 8 that measures 44' 2" x 70'8". The building is occupied as office space and will be vacated, with the exception of large furniture, prior to and for the duration of the project. Asbestos abatement includes primarily non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM) removal by a licensed abatement contractor, as well as associated demolition of existing ceiling tiles and lighting.
