A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Question Deadline 07/23/2025 at 10:00 AM ET The City of Athens, Ohio will post a response on its to all questions submitted before a deadline of 10:00 AM five (5) working days prior to the public Opening of Bids. This Project includes the construction of two new lift stations toreplace Columbus Rd No. 1 and Theatre Ln lift stations. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each personor company interested in the same. It shall be accompanied by aproposal bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of thebid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter ofcredit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City ofAthens, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted, a contract willbe entered into within thirty (30) days after notice of acceptance. Aperformance bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the amountof the Contract with a satisfactory surety company, conditionedaccording to law, will be required for the faithful performance ofthe Contract. The "Prime" Contractor must perform no less than thirty percent(30%) of the total original contract price. The Work shall commence upon written Notice of Award by the City of Athens. The Contractor must comply with the Federal Prevailing WageRates on public improvements in Athens County as ascertainedby the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Relations under theDavis-Bacon Act. The City of Athens reserves the right to waive informalities as maybe in its best interest.
