Question Cut Off Date: 8/6/2026 02:00:00 PM (CT) LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The City of College Station invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the complete bay door replacement at College Station Fire Station No. 2. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to remove and lawfully dispose of four existing apparatus-bay roll-up overhead doors, operators, trim, and related controls as indicated on the Drawings. In addition, the contractor is responsible for the procurement and installation of four high-speed, four-fold Door Engineering FF30 Performance Series door systems. This installation must encompass all matching panels, surface-mounted frames, operators, control units, safety devices, and weather seals. Final deliverables include full electrical wiring coordination, comprehensive system testing, and operational training for fire department personnel. As a Retrofit, dudley engineering & river mep Were engaged by the city of college station to perform an assessment which included a review of the existing Drawings, and conduct a site visit to verify as-built conditions to develop a solution to replace and support the Four existing apparatus bay overhead doors with the new doors. Proposed remediation plan A. The proposed plan includes the replacement of the four existing roll up doors with new high speed doors (model Ff30 four-fold doors, by door engineering). New jamb posts and header frames are to be added to support the Door loading in and out of plane, and transfer the loads to the existing structure. B. Updates to the building's electrical system will need to be made to accommodate the new doors electrical Demands, and slight changes to the building's functionality.
