Lift Station Improvements The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "Town of Coulee City" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. Construct two sewer lift stations - one new and one retrofit. New construction includes demolition of existing lift station and installing new 4-footdiam wet well, valve vault, 2" HDPE force main, pumps and controls, fencing, and site grading. Retrofit includes demolition of existing lift station, retrofitting existing 10-footdiam wet well, and installing new valve vault, meter vault, 6" DI force main, pumps and controls, fencing and site grading. Both stations require bypass pumping. The Work shall be Substantially complete within 150 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the Town Clerk-Treasurer, Town Hall, Coulee City, Washington. Financing of the Project has been provided by Town of Coulee City, Washington and the Washington State Public Works Board. The Town of Coulee City expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal. Coulee City is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This project is funded through the Washington State Public Works Board with state funds and in part by Coulee City. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business. All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. All interpretations and clarifications made by the Engineer and approved by the Owner will be by written addendum to all planholders of record, and a copy of the addendum will be filed in the office of the Owner. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for any interpretation, clarification or explanation of the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans that is not set forth in a written addendum to all planholders of record, and Bidders shall not under any circumstances rely on any other interpretation, clarification or explanation.
