Site work for a water / sewer project in Clinton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: The Base Bid will include the following: To provide two new test wells and two new water supply production wells at the King Road (Northern) and Taylors Bridge (Southern) sites in Sampson County, North Carolina. The project encompasses the drilling and boring of both the test and production wells. Installation of the wells will include, but is not limited to, steel casings, PVC casings, bentonite seals, cement grout, well screens, gravel packs, and all associated fittings to facilitate work. Bid Alternates will include: 1) Downsizing nominal 16-inch SDR 17 PVC Certa-lok production well casing to 12- inch nominal SDR 17 PVC Certa-lok well casing, including screens. 2) Downsizing nominal 12-inch 304 stainless steel production well casing to 10-inch nominal 304 stainless steel well casing, including screens. The Project has an expected duration of 300 consecutive days (120 days for the Test Well phase and 180 days for the Production Well phase). This is a Re-Advertisement for Bids since less than three competitive bids were received from reputable and qualified Contractors on July 1, 2025. An Addendum was issued on June 24, 2025. No Bidders' questions and/or clarifications will be accepted for the Re-Advertisement. The County reserves the right to reject all bids if there is a sound documented reason. The Bidder shall submit bids on a fixed price basis.
