Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mount Carmel, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of July 18, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 22, 2025. The proposed improvement shall consist of milling the existing surface; patching the concrete base as necessary; cleaning and sealing cracks and joints; placement of an HMA Surface Course; installing thermoplastic pavement markings; and any other incidental work necessary to complete the project. Proposal Guaranty. A Proposal Guaranty in the proper amount, as specified in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals, will be required. Bid bonds will be allowed as proposal guaranties. Contract Bond. The successful bidder at the time of execution of the contract will be required to deposit a contract bond for the full amount of the award. When a contract bond is not required, the proposal guaranty check will be held in lieu thereof. Failure on the part of the contractor to deliver the material within the time specified or to do the work specified will be just cause to forfeit his surety as provided in Article 108.10 of the Illinois Department of Transportation's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
