The Town of Canandaigua is seeking installation of 2 Pickleball Courts (60' x 60' - 3,600 square feet with a 20' x 44' play area). The Town of Canandaigua will construct the foundation pad for this project and this quote is for the remaining installation of an acrylic hard-court surface and color coating system, striping/painting, and sealing as well for purchasing and installation of the pickleball nets, posts and any accessory items needed for full installation Location of Pickleball Court Project o Richard P. Outhouse Memorial Park, 2550 Outhouse Road. o Location between Basketball and Bocce Ball Courts Scope of Services: Timing: All work shall be completed by fall 2025 Applicant Work Warranty: Applicant must submit details of their work warranty. At minimum, the warranty must cover labor and materials for any defects, pealing, flaking, chipping fading for one year after accepting the project. Surface Preparation: Inspect and prepare surfaces in accordance with manufacturer's instructions Application: o Apply adhesion promoter over the entire surface in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions o Apply 1 coat of filler course to provide smooth underlayment for application of color coating o Apply a minimum of 2 coats of color coating to prepared surfaces in accordance with manufacturer's instructions o Allow material drying times in accordance with manufacturer's instructions between coatings and opening completed surface to foot traffic Line Markings: o Lay out and professionally install pickleball court line markings in accordance with USAPA Rules of Pickleball Proposals Proposals must include the following information stated clearly: o Detailed Project Proposal: A comprehensive plan outlining the contractor's approach, technical specifications, timeline and required permits o Cost Breakdown: A clear breakdown of all costs associated with materials, labor, and any additional fees o References: A list of previous projects with contact information o Proof of Insurance and Licenses: Documentation demonstrating the contractor's ability to perform the work o The envelope shall note the name and address of the company submitting the bid. o A list of equipment that will be used to complete the work o The number of employees your company employs o Prevailing wage rates: o Prevailing wage rates are required 2025 Double Pickleball Ct R F P | 3 o To see the prevailing wage schedule, contact Lindsay Frarey at lfrarey@townofcanandaigua.org or 585-394-1120 x2229 Insurance Requirements 1. Workers compensation insurance coverage All insurance must be submitted for review before the contract is awarded. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals; to negotiate any elements of a proposal; to conduct interviews at its sole discretion; and to solicit and/or select contractors for the program outside the scope of this RFP. The Town assumes no responsibility or liability for costs incurred by respondents to the Request for Proposals, including any requests for additional information, interviews, or negotiations.
