Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Ewing, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a detention facility; for site work for a detention facility; and 53,955-square-foot, one-story above grade, 16-bed detention facility.

New JJC Secure Facility (Ewing Township Site). In addition to site improvements, there are five (5) new buildings slated for construction on the site: an Administration Building, a Gymnasium, and three (3) Housing Units. Additionally, the site shall feature a new greenhouse and a new shed. This project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). In accordance with n.J.S.A. 52:32-2, this project shall be bid as a single bid (lump Sum all trades). Bidder itself must be classified in the following trade(s) or it Must name subcontractor(s) for the following trade(s): Structural Steel & Ornamental Iron (C029) Plumbing (C030) HVACR (C032) Electrical (C047). Failure to list all of the required DPMC Classified sub-contractors will render the bid non-responsive. This contract includes a goal of awarding 25 percent of the total contract value to a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) at either the prime or subcontract level. The firm determined to be the lowest responsible bidder must produce copies of approval notice from the Division of Revenue and Enterprises Services designating the prime or subcontracting firm as a Small Business Enterprise prior to the award of contract. Further information with regard to the SBE goals for this project will be available within Bulletin B of the Bid Documents. o The Minority Percentage Goal Requirement for This Contract is 30% Per Skilled Craft. o The Female Percentage Goal Requirement for This Contract is 6.9% Per Skilled Craft. Bidders must be classified by the Division under N.J.S.A. 52:35-1 et seq and must submit bid security as provided in Instructions to Bidders and General Conditions, Revised December 2015. No bidder may withdraw its bid for 60 calendar days after the opening. The State may reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable law.
