The project is expected to be awarded tonight on their council meeting.** The Project consists of generally, installation of approximately 11,250 L.F. of 8" gravity sewer, 42 manholes, 6,640 LF ofsewer cleaning and lining, 3,745 SY paving replacement, 4 pumping station rehabilitations, 5 generators,steel casing bored, chemical feed building, remote monitoring system, and all associated appurtenances necessary for the project. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Driskell Engineering, Inc., 5210 Judge Logue Rd, Newton, AL 36352; 334-692-4330. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the City of Samson, 16 East Main Street, Samson, Al. 36477, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional sets for non-Bidders, Bidders who obtain more than one set of Bidding Documents, subcontractors, vendors, or dealers will be refunded as stated above less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and Time with the low bidder.
