Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Pemiscot Township, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
A. The basis of bids is a general description of the work and materials which shall be included in the bid items listed on the bid proposal. Bid item prices shall generally reflect the scope of work described below. It shall be understood by the bidder that the total bid price listed on the bid proposal shall represent total compensation for the entire project based on the estimated quantities given. Due to the complex nature of this project, some overlap of work items is inevitable and some minor items may not be included below. It is the contractor's responsibility to be sure that all work items are included in his/her bid prices. B. Payment after the award of the contract will be based on the number of units completed for unit price items or on the percentage of each lump sum item for the work that has been completed or as outlined I the specifications. Payment will not be made for items that have not been complete. Question Deadline 08/01/2025 Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Replace a deficient bridge with new three-span concrete box beam bridge The DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) contract goals for the amount of work to be awarded for the Pemiscot County Road 472 Bridge Replacement, is 3% of the total project price. The Owner must award the project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, however the owner may reject all bids. All bidders are required to use the pre-qualification process outlined by MoDOT. See the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 102 for additional information. Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
