The Project consists of the construction of approximately 1,300 feet of 8-inch water main, 100 feet of 10-inch water main via horizontal directional drilling, two existing water main tie-ins, water service laterals and meter box relocations, one air valve assembly, one blowoff valve assembly, and associated appurtenances. Engineer's Construction Cost Estimate is $242,000 to $268,000. The Project is funded by the Bella Vista Water District (District, Agency, Owner, Engineer). No Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a Bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the Specifications and Proposal requirements thereof, and no bid will be received unless it is made on Proposal forms included in the Contract Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, or cashier's check or Bidder's Bond made payable to the Bella Vista Water District for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the Contractor will execute the Contract in conformance with his Proposal and the Specifications. Such guarantee shall be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract.
