Renovation of a mixed-use development in De Soto, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The contractor shall at all times keep the premises free from accumulation of waste materials or rubbish used by their operation. Upon completion of the work, the contractor shall remove all of the waste materials and rubbish from and about the project site as well as any equipment, tools, surplus materials, etc. The contractor shall furnish, install, and maintain adequate barricades, signs of warning, and all other protective devices and equipment required, to protect or secure the area, students, and all other person. The contractor will be responsible for making the opening secure at the end of each day. The De Soto Board of Education will consider awarding a contract for this project to the lowest responsible bidder . The project schedules shall be: Entire project to begin October 6, 2025 and completed by November 17, 2025. The contractor shall furnish the following bonds: Bid Bond with bid in the amount of 5% of the total bid. A Performance Bond, and file a Kansas Statutory Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum with the district court in Johnson County Kansas will be due when contract is awarded to contractor. A one-year maintenance bond for total sum of project The contractor will furnish a Certificate of Insurance for both general liability in the amount of $1,000,000.00 Bodily Injury and Death with a $2,000,000 aggregate and $1,000,000.00 Property Damage with a $1,000,000.00 aggregate, and in addition the state required workman-compensationbefore starting the project. The De Soto Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted, and waves any formalities deemed to be in the best interest of the school district. Contractors having not done previous work for the District will be required to submit a Contractor's Qualification Statement.
