The Project Team is seeking a consultant that will provide multi-disciplinary technical support to develop a Project Proposal that will be assessed pursuant to the YESAA regulatory process for the renewal of the authorizations for the Project beyond 2027. The Project Team will inform and direct activities under this Contract. Yukon Energy will provide administrative contract management and oversight of the successful Consultant (i.e., contract administration). The purpose of this RFP is to engage a suitably qualified technical consulting team to undertake the scope of work outlined in Section 4.2. The following provides an overview of the project activities for the Aishihik Hydroelectric Generating Station (AGS) Licence Renewal Project (the Project). This information will form the basis of the Project Description section of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act (YESAA) Project Proposal. The proposed Project is the licensing renewal for the continued operation and maintenance of the AGS. The AGS is currently operating under Water Use License (WUL) # HY22-016 and Fisheries Act Authorization (FAA) # 19-HPAC-00371. The water use license is in effect until December 31, 2027 and a new FAA is currently in process and expected to be secured before the end of 2025. No other authorizations are expected to be required.
