Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Taunton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work under this contract consists of the replacement of the Scadding Street Bridge over Snake River in Taunton, MA. The existing single-span structure will be replaced with a new single-span precast concrete beam superstructure on an improved alignment. The approach roadway will be widened to fit the proposed bridge cross-section with a new sidewalk and roadway construction for approximately 200 feet to the south, and 450 feet to the north of the bridge. Location: Taunton Bridge Replacement, T-01-024, Scadding Street Over Snake River District: 5 Project Type: Bridge - Construction A Proposal Guaranty in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid is required. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Department in the Bridge - Construction category to bid on the above project. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not pre-qualified by the Department prior to the opening of Proposals.
