Refuse Hauling and Disposal Services (Rebid) Description: The Department of Parks and Recreation, Angeles District, is seeking qualified bids from contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform refuse disposal services, as transport, recycle, and dispose of refuse multiple location within the Angels District: Point Mugu, Leo Carrillo, Robert H, Meyer. All work to be done by the contractor, subcontracting is not permitted under the terms of this agreement. Contractor must hold all necessary permits to pick up, haul and dispose of refuse in Los Angeles County. DVBE requirement waived, however, incentives still apply. Term: The term of this contract, if awarded, shall commence on 10/01/2025 and terminate on 09/30/2027 Workers’ Compensation Insurance: The Contractor shall be required to secure the payment of workers’ compensation to his/her employees in accordance with the provisions of Labor Code Section 3700. The Contractor shall place in effect and maintain in force such insurance for claims under workers’ compensation acts and from any other claims for damage to property or personal injury including death, which may arise from operations under this contract; and will hold the State, its officers, employees and agents harmless from all liability for such claims. DVBE: All bidders whose price exceeds $10,000 shall meet Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements as set forth in the enclosed DVBE Notice. Failure to fulfill the DVBE requirements will render the bid non-responsive. A DVBE incentive may also be applied, as explained on the enclosed "notice", if applicable. Contract Award: The contract award, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder who complies with all the requirements specified in the bid solicitation documents, which include, among others, the Invitation for Bids, Instructions to Bidders for Refuse Disposal Service, Specifications, Bid Form, and when applicable, Additional Instructions to Bidders, and the DVBE Compliance Certification and Documentation. Submit questions by August 14,2025 - All inquiries, requests for clarification, or questions concerning this solicitation must be submitted within five (5) business days from the bid posting date. No further questions will be accepted after this deadline. Following the inquiry period, the Department will issue a formal addendum containing written responses to all timely submitted questions, which shall become part of the bid documents. Rejection of Bids: Bids may be rejected if they show any alteration of form, additions not called for, conditioned bids, incomplete bids, or irregularities of any kind. Only those bids which cover all the work called for, and meet all requirements specified will be considered. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids
