Renovation of a municipal facility in Laredo, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Relocation of Portable Buildings The awarded contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials to execute a comprehensive and industry-standard portable building relocation, inclusive of all components required for a safe, functional, and compliant installation at the new site. All work performed shall strictly adhere to and comply with all applicable local (City of Laredo), state (Texas), and federal building codes, ordinances, and regulations, including but not limited to, those pertaining to construction, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, accessibility (ADA), and safety. The awarded contractor shall be solely responsible for obtaining all necessary permits from the City of Laredo and any other relevant governmental agencies for each portable building relocation. This includes, but is not limited to, transportation permits, building permits, and occupancy permits. The contractor shall also be responsible for arranging and providing all required escorts in accordance with City of Laredo traffic codes and regulations. Proof of permits and escort arrangements must be submitted to the UISD Facilities Department at least [e.g., 48 hours] prior to the scheduled move. Work shall begin within appropriate length of time to be determined by the District and based on whether the request is an emergency. A purchase order will be issued for each individual service contract and work shall be completed within a time frame that meets District needs. . All routine work shall be performed during the District's standard operational hours of [e.g., 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM], Monday through Friday. Work outside these hours, including weekends or holidays, requires prior written approval from Mr. Alfonso Pena, UISD Director of Facilities Maintenance & Operations or his designee, and will be specifically noted on the individual Purchase Order. Contractor shall submit / advise the repair schedule to the Maintenance Department or his designee prior to beginning work, to allow coordination with District personnel i.e. Principals, Directors, school administrators. Due to the nature of District operations and security, a designated UISD supervisor is required to be present on-site with the contractor continuously during all periods of work activity, whether occurring during standard operational hours, after hours, weekends, or holidays. The contractor shall coordinate their schedule with the UISD Facilities Department to ensure this continuous oversight. Question Deadline 07/18/2025 at 12:00 AM CT
